Both U.S. tissue culture stock and fully rooted plugs carry live-arrival protection when an eligible air shipping method is selected.

Rare Root Labs Live Arrival Coverage

Air shipping keeps transit time predictable and gives living plant material the best chance of arriving in good condition. Ground shipping does not qualify for warranty coverage.

Shipping Requirements

Live-arrival coverage by product type.

The warranty applies to the condition of eligible plants on arrival. Minor cosmetic stress can happen during shipment and does not automatically mean a plant is non-viable.

U.S. Tissue Culture Stock

U.S. tissue culture stock is covered by our industry-standard live-arrival guarantee when shipped using an eligible air service.

Some yellowing, minor discoloration, leaf loss or temporary shipping stress can occur due to weather and transit and is not automatically considered plant loss.

Ground shipping is at your own risk. We do not recommend ground shipping unless the destination is in Georgia, South Carolina or North Carolina and the carrier estimate specifically shows next-day delivery. Even in those situations, ground service does not include warranty coverage.

U.S. Fully Rooted Plugs

Fully rooted plugs receive the same industry-standard live-arrival guarantee. Plants should arrive alive and viable.

Some yellowing or cosmetic shipping stress can be normal. Physical transit damage is reviewed case by case and requires the complete unboxing video plus clear photos of the affected plants.

Ground shipping is at your own risk. Rare Root Labs does not recommend ground shipping for fully rooted plugs unless the order is shipping to Georgia, South Carolina or North Carolina and the carrier estimate shows next-day delivery. Ground shipments remain outside the Live Arrival Guarantee.

Filing a Claim

What we need from you.

Every warranty claim must be submitted within two days of delivery and include the documentation below.

Warranty claims must be filed within two days of the carrier's recorded delivery.

Record the complete unboxing

Begin recording before the shipping box is opened and clearly show the contents and condition of the order as received.

Show every affected plant

The video must clearly document the affected plants, packaging and the condition in which they arrived.

Wrong-item claims need photos too

Incorrect-item claims require the unboxing video plus a clear photo of each plant in question.

Photos alone do not qualify as warranty documentation.

Every claim requires an unboxing video recorded during the claim window. For rooted plug shipping damage and wrong-item claims, include supporting photos in addition to the video.

Approved Claims

How Rare Root Labs makes it right.

Replacement

If the affected plants are available, qualifying plants may be replaced and reshipped on an upcoming shipping round.

Store Credit

If replacement is unavailable, qualifying claims may receive store credit equal to the amount paid for the affected plants. Warranty store credit never expires.

Lost or Destroyed TC Boxes

If a tissue culture box is lost, severely crushed with all TCs damaged, or marked delivered but never received, Rare Root Labs will replace the qualifying shipment at no additional charge on the next available shipping round.
